Little Creatures

Right then everyone.  Sorry it's been a little while  -  I'll try and make these updates more regular in the coming weeks!  Recently I've been treated by my local bottlo as they managed to secure a large haul of the limited edition Little Creatures offering from Western Australia named the "Shepherd's Delight."  This is a tasty red IPA that weighs in at a solid 6.4%.  Spicy citrus overtones with a background maltiness makes this a beer I just keep going back for!

If you haven't picked up the 'standard' pale ale offering from Little Creatures then you've been missing out.  It's strong in both flavour and alcohol but is a must pick up for anyone in Australia.  It's also becoming cheaper and more widely available since Little Creatures' recent takeover by Lion, a huge Japanese company that also owns Tooheys.  Lets hope the quality stays top notch!!

Feral Brewery Hop Hog IPA

This is a super tasty beast of an IPA, best enjoyed with pizza at Frankies Pizza in Sydney CBD in my opinion!

It won best beer of 2012 on the Local Taphouse list!  Always happy to see this one on the shelves or on tap!!

The Beer Cartel, Sydney

Right then! Let's get this blog going!  I recently had a great trip north of the river here in Sydney to visit Dave's Brew Shop and the Beer Cartel.  Both of these were excellent in the own special ways...  Dave's gave us some of the best home brew products available.  Freshly cracked grain, all the best hops and fresh yeast.  Beer Cartel was where I spent all my dollar!  It's an amazing bottle shop with a vast array of beer from all over the globe.  Below is a sneak preview of the beers you can expect me to be posting about in the near future:

Welcome to a brand new Beer Blog!

Thanks for coming and taking a look at my newest blog creation - The Tales of Sir Hop-a-Lot! Here you'll find all manner of ramblings and reviews on what has been in my pint glass or bottle recently in Australia and around the world.  I'll attempt to at least give you some idea of how these hoppy, malty creations tasted and feel free to comment with your own take on it!  Happy beer drinking everyone!
